Nature & Lifestyle Portraits

I’m an outdoor photographer rooted in Western North Carolina, with a soft spot for storytelling through both 35mm film and digital. My work is shaped by the trails I’ve hiked (including a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail), the families I’ve met, and the brands I’ve partnered with along the way. Whether I’m shooting on the Blue Ridge Parkway or capturing a quiet family moment at golden hour, I bring a sense of adventure, authenticity, and nostalgia to every frame.

GoAverywhere is more than a name — it’s a way of seeing the world. Let’s create something lasting.

Photographing nature is less about capturing what you see, and more about honoring how it made you feel.

Nature

Photographing nature is an act of both observation and reverence. It’s about slowing down, paying attention to the quiet details—a beam of light through the trees, the texture of moss on stone, the way fog settles over a ridge at dawn. Whether shooting on film or digital, nature photography invites you to witness fleeting moments and preserve them with intention. It’s less about controlling the scene and more about being present enough to notice it. In a world that moves fast, photographing the natural world is a way of remembering what stillness, beauty, and wildness feel like.

Photography

Film photography invites a different kind of attention—slower, more deliberate, and deeply connected to the moment. With each frame limited and irreversible, shooting on film challenges you to be intentional: to compose carefully, to trust your instincts, and to embrace imperfection. There's a tangible magic in the grain, the softness of light, and the subtle unpredictability of the final image. Unlike digital, film doesn't offer instant feedback—it offers mystery, patience, and reward. For me, film isn't just a medium; it's a mindset that carries into all of my work, shaping the way I see, shoot, and tell stories through photography.
